How do I change the catagory of my yahoo group?

Some guy asked me this question and it's easy. Just follow these steps.

Note: You have to be a moderator or otherwise have someone be one in
order to accomplish this.

1. Click on "EDIT" where you would edit the group description on the
homepage of the group you want to change the catagory in.

2. Click on "EDIT" on the next page, again, next to "Catagory". You
may have to scroll down the page a little.

3. From this point, choose another catagory by clicking on the other
links you see here. You can also choose a sub-catagory alternatively.

4. When finished, click "Save Changes" button and you'll see the new
catagory listed with your description and ability to change the group
colors.

If you cannot get out of a certain catagory, for example, this guy I
talked to couldn't get out of the "romance and relationships >adult"
catagory. I asked him these 2 questions: Is your group listed in the directory? If it is adult or has adult content, then yahoo won't list it in the public one. You will most likely find it in the "romance and relationships" catagory unless you made a mistake somewhere when you created your group. Does your group allow adult content?
Also another reason yahoo won't list it in the public directory. ALL groups allowing any kind of adult material including pictures are listed under "romance and relationships> adult". If you are a listed group and you don't allow adult content,  Then my only suggestion to you is no matter what the
catagory is that you cannot get out of because you can't find another
suitable one, you'll have to delete the group you have and restart it
again using the same name as the one you deleted. If you need help let
me know.

Note: deleting and restarting any group may take some time if you have
alot of material and files in your group that you are deleting. We can
speak from experience as we switched from our group that read a
founding date of Oct. 20, 2001 (which was when the group was actually
created) to the group you see now for trltrackerz with Sept 6, 2002.
It was NOT FUN and we did so during yahoo's migration process over to
groups from clubs back in 2003.
